Michael Ackerson

Full Stack Developer, Designer, Founder

Michael is an artist turned developer. He's educated in fine arts and has over a decade of experience in technological design and development. The result is a unique fusion of craftsmanship and precision. Michael's solutions that are as elegant as they are functional. An experienced full stack developer and fluent in 11 programming languages, he builds bridges between ideas and reality.

Michael earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in New Media, Photography, and Ceramics from the University of Southern Maine in 2011, but his experience in technological development and design goes back to 2003. From the time he graduated high school he freelanced in computer repair and new media design. His experience designing and maintaining standards based accessible websites for small and midsize businesses led him to a role as a client technology specialist for the State of Maine. There he handled the repair and maintenance of all hardware and software in deployment for over 500 seats in 9 agencies.

In 2012 Michael transitioned to his role as the Director of Technology Development for a leading company in the direct response industry. Michael spearheaded the development of a SaaS proprietary platform during his time as Director of Technology, acting as lead software developer and recruiting and leading the project's development team. Over an intense 18 months Michael and his team crafted a bespoke platform that facilitated the company's operational flow from start to finish. This solution provided the chance to save $1.5 million a year and significantly streamlined operations.

Today Michael is the founder and lead developer for The Midnight Corporation. He makes ideas real, fine-tuning the solutions that transform data into information. Bringing over 15 years of experience and a passion for craftsmanship to the table, Michael is the core of Midnight Corporation's development arm.

When he's not busy making magic at his keyboard, Michael enjoys growing very spicy peppers, customizing camper vans, and exploring the world with his son Gray.
